I've placed Wikipedia in its own class because it is COMPLETELY unreliable. No ifs, ands or buts. Yet, Wikipedia is often the first place that many individuals go to seek information (erroneously). What's so bad about Wikipedia? Read on to find out...

Simply put, Wikipedia is not a valid source. This is because Wikipedia's content can be written and modified by EVERYONE. That's right, ANYONE and EVERYONE who uses the internet.

This means that Wikipedia's information is subject to the same fallacies, misinformation, and even deceit that virtually every person is capable of. The content is not verified at all and

In the aforementioned article, a Wikipedia spokesperson defends Wikipedia as a "starting off point," though acknowledging that the site is not an "authoritative" source. Citing Wikipedia at any stage in the development of academic research is highly frowned upon by most learning institutions. It is best to AVOID IT COMPLETELY, unless it is a bit of internet humor that one is searching for
